Oracle DBA

Work authorization: any (candidate must be authorized to work in US)

Must-have skills: 5+ y of exp administering Oracle Database systems 9i,10g, 11g, 12c, 18c & 19c to include CDB and PDBs; OLTP and DSS skills;exp in UNIX/Linux and Windows Operating Systems; RMAN; Oracle databases on physical servers, VMs, Exadata,; ExaCC, Oracle Cloud and Oracle Database Appliances (ODA)

Requirements:

  • Experience in DBA role (5 -15 years);
  • Experience with database design and development concepts for OLTP and DSS;
  • Experience with project and process management concepts;
  • Experience administering Oracle Database systems 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c & 19c;
  • Strong experience with ASM 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c & 19c, 21c and Oracle RAC;
  • Experience in UNIX/Linux and Windows Operating Systems;
  • UNIX/Linux, Windows shell and SQLNet scripting experience;
  • Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) to include disk and tape experience;
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Controller/Cloud Control services for monitoring, reporting, DB and SQL debugging;
  • Experience with Oracle encryption services, TDE both network based and at-rest;
  • Data Extract, Transformation and Load experience to include Datapump and PDB Migrations;
  • Experience building and administering Oracle databases on physical servers, VMs, Exadata,  ExaCC, Oracle Cloud and Oracle Database Appliances (ODA);
  • Experience with Oracle DataGuard, Advanced DataGuard, log shipping and other DR processes;
  • Experience Oracle Cloud-at-Customer Database services, patching, upgrades, migrations and supporting Cloud-at-Customer databases and LISTENERs

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide support, ongoing maintenance, and required modifications to database applications already in production;
  • Work with agency customers to develop and implement a process to receive data and disperse it to the appropriate internal applications, adhering to all State of Florida security guideline;
  • Assist in designing the Database Architecture and Strategic plan for agency customers;
  • Provide research and analytical services for new projects as they emerge;
  • Develop a protocol for implementing existing and newly developed Database applications within the existing environment;
  • Implement changes to existing and newly-developed Database applications when authorized and in accordance with Agency Change Management/Service Request procedures;
  • Create technical documentation associated with projects upon request;
  • Conduct Pilot projects and research new technologies to support current or new processes as Needed;
  • Develop timelines as requested;
  • Mentor junior and journeymen Database Administrators;
  • Reporting for emergency duty is required as part of this position;
  • Work within the constraints of the Agency policies on security, privacy, and procedures
