Location: Tallahassee, FL

Must-have skills: large and complex Database Management Systems:(Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc), Data Governance Plans and Strategies (overall management of the availability, usability, integrity, and security of an organization’s data), data architecture standards, policies and procedures, Operational Data Stores, Data Marts, Data Content Standards.
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Requirements:
- Experience with large and complex database management systems (7+ years);
- Experience in developing data governance plans and strategies;
- Experience defining data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes, nomenclature of data elements, and applying accepted data content standards to technology projects;
- Experience in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) with technical and Department staff;
- Assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance strategy, applying the appropriate frameworks, methodologies, and tools;
- Define data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the Department, structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements;
- Apply accepted data content standards to technology projects;
- Business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design and implementation
