Expert knowledge to provide system analyst and database administrator services in all aspects of ADABAS Database Administration in support of the mainframe (Z/OS) and server (Windows 2012) ADABAS environments of CalSTRS. Services to be provided include (but is not limited to) using ADABAS utilities and tools to install and configure the ADABAS environments, the central control of database design, implementation, maintenance and support of ADABAS mainframe systems as well as Windows

1. Experience with interfacing/bridging of multiple systems including Natural/ADABAS.  

2. Experience with and knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL).  

3. Experience with ADABAS Structure Query Language (SQL) Gateway, zIIP.  

4. Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.  

5. Ability to adapt to a variety of assignments.  

6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.  

Possession of well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

At least ten (10) years of experience in ADABAS Database Administration support of mainframe (Z/OS)

and server (Windows 2012) ADABAS environments.

2. At least ten (10) years of knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques required in

administration of ADABAS databases within the Z/OS and Windows environments
