Database Administrator

Location:  Tallahassee, FL

Work authorization: any (candidate must be authorized to work in US)

Must-have skills: experience in GIS and spatial databases, SQL Server 2008R2, 2012, Oracle 10g and above.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
  • Experience in database administration (5+ years);
  • Experience with GIS and spatial databases (5+ years);
  • Experience with SQL Server 2008R2, 2012 (5+ years);
  • Experience with Oracle 10g and above (5+ years);
  • Experience with Azure SQL (5+ years, preferred);
  • Experience with managing ArcGIS for Server (5+ years, preferred);
  • Experience with the principles, practices and techniques of ESRI SDE Geodatabases;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Daily operational and database administration activities
  • Plan, design, implement, support for database structures
  • Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
  • Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
  • Perform SQL Code reviews
  • Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff This resource may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested
